For kids, with parents in mind.
FreeDrawColour has a built-in Kid Mode that strips the app down to the essentials — bigger buttons, only fill + clear, no share, no menus. Family Mode takes it further by hiding the share and download buttons in My Art so a kid can't accidentally post a half-finished drawing.
Kid Mode
Toggle Kid Mode from the About page. The whole app switches to a soft cream-and-orange colour scheme with bigger tap targets (>=44px), a calmer palette, and no share, save, or download buttons in the toolbar.
Family Mode + passcode
Family Mode hides the share and download buttons in My Art and on the canvas header. Set a 4-digit passcode in the About page (it's hashed before storage — we never see it). The passcode gate protects Family Mode so a kid can't toggle it off without you.
Privacy by default
- No account. No email. No name. No date of birth.
- All art is stored on the device. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is shared unless you tap Share.
- No third-party tracking, analytics, ads, or affiliate links.
Streak without pressure
Our 7-day streak counter has a monthly streak freeze. Miss a day? You don't lose the streak; you just spend the freeze. The streak is always celebratory — we never use red badges or guilt-tripping copy. Kids should feel like colouring is a joy, not a chore they can fail at.
